December showcases two Venture Packs, a red and white combo for $19.98 and a pair of red wines for $39.98.
Venture Pack one presents Tui Grove Sauvignon Blanc and Killer Cabernet Sauvignon. Tui Grove takes its name from the Tui, an endemic bird of New Zealand. Made by respected winemaker John Belsham, this wine is light on its feet but sharply focused to show grapefruit, mineral and gooseberry flavors that linger beautifully on the polished finish. Killer wine is simply...killer. Created by winemakers David Brutocao and Hoss Milone, Killer Cab is rich and lush with a nice, long finish that you would expect from a wine at twice its value.
The second Venture Pack features Haywood Los Chamizal Zinfandel and Brutocao Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon. Together these two wines offer over-the-top value. Brutocao displays wonderful flavors of blackberry fruit and dark tea tannins that lead to a soft, well-balanced finish. Haywood Los Chamizal Vineyard brings together the varied flavors of nine different locations for this Zinfandel. Aromas of spice, blackberry, wild berries and pepper flavors fill the nose. A full-bodied, rich and plush mouthfeel with medium to full tannins leads to a lingering aftertaste.
